For Parents

Social Health Association of Indiana is committed to TrustED AdultsTM to ensure they have the resources and support they need to communicate effectively with children about health issues and personal decision making.

Available through the online portal, Social Health Association provides parents and guardians with an overview of what is taught in our 45-75 minute Human Growth & Development programs for grades 4, 5 and 6.  Tips for how to talk to children about sensitive topics like puberty are also provided on our website.  Click here to see a description of the program objectives.

All SHA programs are taught by professional Health Educators and include videos for grades 4 and 5.  (There is no 6th grade video shown in class). Parents and guardians can access and view the videos in the Parent Portal.  Please enter the password provided by your school to access the videos in the Portal.

The videos by no means cover all material that is discussed in Human Growth & Development classes. If you have additional questions about the curriculum after watching the videos and webinars, please do not hesitate to contact Social Health Association Director of Programs and Evaluation at (317)638-3628.
